APPLICATION USERS :
1)Soap cake wrapping at high speed SM 6 has extremely good bond strength and good tear strength within a short time. The emulsion keeps consistent viscosity during continuous run for hours.
2)
SM 6 finds extensive applications in Sand-tex finishes for interior and exterior applications.
The emulsion has excellent bonding and Water resistance, weather resistance.
3)
Mixed with fillers like carbon black, blanc fix, the product can be used for making bricks / pads of fibres, pulp, jute etc. Hardness of bricks so made depends on the filler (Chalk, blanc fix, carbon)
4)
Foam conversion & white foam into black, or into any colour foam, SM-6 confers good bonding of carbonblack to foam, good flexibility & flame resistance. Cont...2/-
5)
SM-6 has extensive uses in the manufacture of paper boxes of various sizes from small to jumbo sizes for side sealing/pasting (not for corrugation) on medium to high speed automatic machines (pneumatic or dip wheel glue application).
6)
SM-6 suitably modified, is extensively used to fix fibre glass mats to walls, before plastering. This is a safeguard against fire as well as thermal insulation. There is a high potential in construction industry. SM-6 is excellent for making fibre glass blocks.
7)
SM-6 is excellent for laminating Aluminium foil to paper.
8)
Water based paints for interior & exterior finishes as SM-6 gives excellent scrub resistance, Water resistance & UV resistance. The painted surface can be cleaned with water / jet spray. SM- improves life of coating.
The advantages of SM-6 over Poly Vinyl Alcohol based polyvinyl acetate, presently used in this industry are :
i)
SM-6 at 0.8 gsm gives excellent bond whereas polyvinyl
acetate is at 2 gsm.
ii) SM-6 has 56% solids whereas polyvinyl acetate has
42-44 % solids.
iii) No dilution needed in case of SM-6 but in polyvinyl
acetate 50 % dilution is done in the industry.
iv) SM-6 has no corrosion effect on Aluminium
v) Polyvinyl acetate needs casein addition but in case
of SM-6 there is no need of casein additions.
vi) SM-6 has high as well as low temperature resistance
than polyvinyl acetate.
vii) SM-6 as such is very stable. Under summer or winter
conditions viscosity may change only by one poise (±)
viii) You will save manpower & money with higher production
rate as SM-6 gives 2.5 times higher yield per Kg. (0.8
gsm in case of SM-6, whereas in case of PV acetate it
is 2 or more than 2gsm)
ix) SM-6 film has far better water resistance compared
to polyvinyl acetate & casein mixture.
DO'S
& DO NOT'S
1.
Store the product at normal room temperature, keeping containers
closed tightly.
2.
Stir or mix well before use.
3.
Do not dilute or mix with other market products.
4.
Use clean water for cleaning, dilution etc.
5.
SM 6 is non-toxic and nonflammable.
